The above pictures were graciously supplied to the Center Fire Department courtesy of Robin Snow of the Davie County Enterprise-Record.  They depict the Davie Place Residential Care facility fire on the night of March 12, 2007.  Mocksville and Center were the first dispatched fire departments.  49 residents were evacuated and the fire resulted in one fatality.  Numerous agencies from surrounding counties provided assistance as evidenced by the number of ambulances depicted in the background of the second picture up from this text.

Fire on US Highway 64W on January 29, 2007.  Mocksville Fire, Sheffield-Callahaln Fire, Davie County EMS, Air One, and Davie County Sheriff's Office assisted.

Outbuilding and boiler fire on Sheffield-Callahaln Road.

The above picture was taken at a fire originating in a rear wheel of a trailer carrying a  pressure vessel.  Heat from the fire was raising pressure within the cylinder.  Water is being applied by two Center firefighters to cool the tank and lower pressure.

Burned Volvo on Interstate 40 with Farmington.

Volvo truck engine compartment fire and hazmat response. Farmington Fire, Center Fire, Mocksville Fire/Hazmat, Davie County Sheriff's Office, and the State Highway Patrol were involved in this call that shut down Interstate 40 for several hours.

Center, along with Cooleemee, was called to assist Mocksville at a residential structure fire on Feezor Road. The home was fully involved on arrival.

Assisted William R. Davie and other deparments with a house fire on Wagner Road.
