Congratulations to Jerry Ratledge (middle in picture above) on being voted Center Volunteer Fire Department's Firefighter of the Year for 2008.  Also, congratulations to Jerry Webb for thirty-five years of service to the department (left).  Awards were presented at the annual Firefighter of the Year Banquet at Sagebrush on August 29th in Mocksville by Chief Bryan Chaffin (right). 

 

 

Congratulations to Jerry Webb (right in picture above), Center Volunteer Fire Department's Firefighter of the Year for 2007!  Chief Chaffin (left) made the presentation of the plaque for the award at Sagebrush in Mocksville at the annual Firefighter of the Year Banquet.

 

County Honors for Center Members 

Congratulations to Center founding member Everette Glasscock (third from left) on being inducted into the Davie County Fire and Rescue Association Hall of Fame.  It is a much deserved honor.

Congratulations to Roy Hurt (first from left) for being chosen as the winner of the Davie County Fire and Rescue Association First Responder of the Year award.  Roy serves as an Assistant Chief at Center Fire Department.

NEW FIRE TRUCK!

Center has purchased a new KME tanker through Slagle Fire Apparatus.  This will replace a truck lost in August of this year due to an accident resulting from a mechanical failure.
